Welcome to this episode of Email Marketing 101. In today’s episode we will
discuss the ongoing updates with Google and browsers such as Firefox, Edge
and all the others with respect to secure websites vs non-secure and
how it can devastate your email marketing results. Especially when we talk
about using Safelists and Viral Mailers as a traffic source to generate
leads.
In the video below Email Marketing 101-Are Your Sites Being Seen I will explain
what is happening and what you should be aware of.
Email Marketing 101-Are Your Sites Actually Being Seen?
- So there you have it and below is a downloadable “cheat sheet” to help you along
but here it is in a nutshell…
2. Check all sites in a frame checker to make sure site being advertised shows in
a frame. (Most Clickbank and Warrior Plus sites don’t.) Make a splash page with
a link to that site. (See resources download for site checker url and a link to
a solution for splash pages.)
3. If your site your advertising is a non-secure site ie http if you are using a
tracker, make sure you adverise the http tracking link not https.
4. If the site your advertising is a secure site ie https, make sure if you are
using tracking the tracking link is also https. There CANNOT be a mismatch!
5. If you are using Viral Mail Profits to advertise your site YOU MUST use a
http link or it WILL NOT show. The Viral Mail Profits tracker link is NOT
secure and WILL NOT show https sites. Just drop off the s in your https
link. Make sure you check it that it shows.
I will see you in the next episode of Email Marketing 101 with some more
helpful training.

Thank you for your comment to not include the “s” of https when advertising or the ad will not show.
